What cookies are
Cookies are small text files or similar technologies that a website may store on the user's device during browsing. Some cookies are necessary for the site to function, while others are used for statistics, performance measurement or advertising purposes.
Types of cookies used
Technical / necessary cookies
They are indispensable to enable the proper functioning, security and basic features of the site. They do not require user consent when used exclusively for these purposes.
Analytics cookies
They may be used to understand how visitors use the site, which pages they visit and how they interact with the content. When such tools do not fall within the exceptions provided by applicable regulations, they are activated only after user consent.
Google Analytics 4 is used on the site and is loaded only after the user has given consent to the analytics category; it is not loaded if consent is absent or withdrawn.
Cookies set: _ga (visitor distinction and session state) and _ga_<container-id> (visitor state retention for the GA4 property); default expiry 2 years, renewable. Source: https://developers.google.com/analytics/devguides/collection/ga4/tag-options.
Google's notice on data use on partner sites: https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites.
Marketing / advertising cookies
They may be used to measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns, create audiences and show more relevant advertising content. These cookies are activated only after user consent.
The Meta Pixel is used on the site and is loaded only after the user has given consent to the marketing category; it is not loaded if consent is absent or withdrawn.
Cookie set: _fbp (advertising campaign measurement). The duration is defined by Meta; details available at https://www.facebook.com/policies/cookies/.
Consent management
On first access to the site, a banner is shown that allows you to:
- accept all optional cookies;
- reject all optional cookies;
- choose individual categories through preferences.
Analytics and marketing cookies must not be loaded before the user has expressed their consent.
The user can change or revoke their preferences at any time via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer.
The consent choice is stored under the brand_cookie_consent key in the browser's localStorage: it is not a cookie but a local store on the user's device and has no automatic expiry. It can be changed via the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer, or cleared by deleting the browser's browsing data.
Withdrawing consent blocks the loading of the corresponding trackers; cookies already installed by the providers are not automatically deleted by the site and remain governed by the respective provider's settings.
Third-party cookies
The possible use of third-party services may involve the installation of cookies or equivalent technologies by the respective providers. The characteristics, duration and purposes of such tools depend on the service settings and the user's consent choices.
Duration
The duration of cookies depends on their function. Some are deleted when the browser is closed, while others may remain stored for a longer period. The consent management system must show the user, where available, the updated detail of the cookies actually present on the site.
